The Gospel is a matter of

Everlasting Life and Everlasting Damnation

The whole bible is the word of God and the following quotations are from Holy Scripture:  In 2 Timothy 3:16, the bible says: (NIV)
"All Scripture is God-breathed"

Only believers will escape from the wrath of God. In John 3:36, the bible says:
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

Believing on the Son means that I am trusting only in the Lord Jesus Christ who has completed all the work necessary for my salvation. It means that I'm saved by the perfect obedience of Christ.  In Romans 5:19, the bible says:
"by the obedience of ONE shall many be made righteous"
It means I believe Christ is my substitute. His perfect obedience is counted as my own. His perfect obedience in His life and in His death is what makes me perfectly holy, righteous and pure in the sight of God Almighty.

It also means that I believe the Lord Jesus Christ is God. In 1 Timothy 3:16, the bible says:
"God was manifest in the flesh"

I believe the Lord Jesus Christ left His heavenly glory and humbled Himself by taking on a human nature so that He could be my perfect substitute.  In Philippians 2:8, the bible says:
"And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

It was necessary for God to be my substitute because a mere man could never make a complete payment for sin. It's impossible for a man to complete eternity in hell but it was not impossible for Christ because He is the God/Man. In Acts 2:31, the bible says:
"He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in HELL, neither his flesh did see corruption."

Christ paid for sin with His soul. In Isaiah 53:10, the bible says:
"make his soul an offering for sin"

The Father was satisfied by His Son's offering for sin. In Isaiah 53:11, the bible says:
"He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities."

It took a miracle to complete an eternity in hell, and that's exactly what Christ did. He rose again on the third day because his sacrifice for sin was a complete payment. In 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, the bible says:
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

All my sins (past, present and future) were transferred to Christ. In 1 Peter 2:24, the bible says:
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree"

I am holy (sanctified) because of Christ's sacrifice for sin. In Hebrews 10:10, the bible says:
"we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

I am perfect in the sight of God because Christ took away all my sins. In Hebrews 10:14, the bible says:
"For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

Contrary to popular belief, Christ did not die for the whole human race. Christ did not bear the sins of every single person. If Christ was a substitute for ALL, then NONE could be found guilty of sin and none could end up in hell. But the bible makes it very clear that guilty sinners will coexist in the same lake of fire as the devil and his angels. In Matthew 25:41, the bible says:
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels"

Christ took the sins of certain individuals called the ELECT and paid for their sins. The sins of every person for whom Christ died will never be remembered! In Hebrews 10:17, the bible says:
"And THEIR sins and iniquities will I remember no more."
But the sins of the non-elect will be remembered on the Day of Judgment because Christ did not pay for their sins. The non-elect will have to pay for their own sins in hell. They will receive the wages for their sin - that's justice.

The elect will never have to pay for their sins because Christ already paid the penalty for them - that's mercy. This is the faith that God gives His elect.  In Titus 1:1, the bible says:
"according to the faith of God's ELECT, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness"

The elect will ALWAYS believe the gospel. In Hebrews 10:39, the bible says:
"But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."

Instead of letting the whole human race go to hell, God chose to have mercy and gave grace to elect sinners. In Romans 4:8, the bible says:
"Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."

Elect simply means chosen. God chose to save certain individuals even before the world was created. In Ephesians 1:4, the bible says:
"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world"
But God did not choose me because I was better than others. As one of God's elect, I know I was under the wrath of God exactly like everyone else. In Ephesians 2:3, the bible says:
"we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others"

Election is by GRACE! That means God's decision to save me was not merited by something I did. In Romans 11:5, the bible says:
"according to the ELECTION of GRACE"
I was chosen by God and saved by grace. Grace is Unconditional! That means none of my works had anything to do with getting me saved.  In Romans 9:11, the bible says:
"For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to ELECTION might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth"

I inherited a sinful nature from my first father, Adam, so God already knew that I never would have chosen Him or sought after Him unless He would first make me born again.  In Romans 3:11, the bible says:
"there is NONE that seeketh after God"

Election was GOD'S DECISION, not my decision. In John 15:16, the bible says:
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you"

Only the elect will be saved and gathered for glory on the Day of Judgment. In Mark 13:27, the bible says:
"And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his ELECT from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven."

The gospel is not an offer of salvation. The gospel is a declaration of salvation guaranteed for the elect. God predestinated certain ones to be His children. In Ephesians 1:5, the bible says:
"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself"
This is predestination unto salvation because only the children of God will be saved. Not everyone is His child. In Romans 9:8, the bible says:
"They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."

God promised to save His people. In Matthew 1:21, the bible says:
"and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save HIS PEOPLE from their sins."
His people are the elect. The elect are people of all races, languages, and colors from every nation. Christ did not redeem every single person in the world, but OUT OF the whole world, He redeemed all kinds of people. In Revelation 5:9, the bible says:
"Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation"

How can you know if you're one of the elect? If you believe the gospel - that's how! In 1 John 5:13, the bible says:
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life"

You can also know if you're still dead in sins.  In 1 Corinthians 1:18, the bible says:
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."
If the preaching of the cross is foolishness to you, then you're still dead in sins.

I was dead in sins, but then God made me alive in Christ.  In Ephesians 2:5, the bible says:
"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by grace ye are saved"
Quickened means made alive. The quickening power of God comes through the preaching of the gospel.  In John 6:63, the bible says:
"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

I was born again (quickened) by the Spirit of God. It was necessary for me to be born again. In John 3:7, The Lord, Jesus said:
"You MUST be born again"
In John 3:8, The Lord, Jesus said:
"The wind blows where it wills.... so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
I have no control over the wind - "it blows where it wills." And I have no control over God either - "so is every one that is born of the Spirit." I can't make myself born again.

In John 3:5, The Lord, Jesus said:
"Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
Do you see how necessary it is for you to be born again?  But water baptism doesn't make you born again. There is no power in H2O. What you need is the word of God. The elect are born of God through the pure water of His word. In Ephesians 5:25-26, the bible says:
"even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word"

"Accepting Christ" doesn't make you born again either. No one has ever been born of God by making a decision. In John 1:13, the bible says: (NIV)
"nor of human decision, ...but born of God."

The bible is crystal clear! Salvation does not DEPEND on your decision, your will, or your desire: In Romans 9:16, the bible says: (KJV)
"NOT OF HIM THAT WILLETH"
In Romans 9:16, the bible says: (NIV)
"IT DOES NOT DEPEND ON MAN'S DESIRE"

If you see that Christ is Holy, then you will bow to Him as your Savior. You will not despise this only true and living God. And you will trust Him to give mercy as He pleases. In Romans 9:18, the bible says:
"Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth."

I have no problem with God when it comes to election and predestination - know why? Because God convinced me by His Holy Spirit of Truth that the only thing I DESERVE is to pay for my own sins in hell. In Revelation 14:11, the bible says:
"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night"
Once you REALLY understand that hell is all you deserve, then you'll have no problem with the God of Sovereign Grace. If you end up in hell, it's not because of election - it's because of YOUR SIN!

This is Christ's gospel of sovereign grace! If anyone preaches a different gospel to you, then let him be accursed of God. In Galatians 1:7-8, the bible says:
"there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."

God has promised to seek, save, and gather all of His elect. I am thankful that the Lord chose to save me. In Ezekiel 34:12, the bible says:
"As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day."

God commands you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1 John 3:23, the bible says:
"And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment."

God gives faith through the preaching of His word. In Romans 10:14-17, the bible says:
"...how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?... So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
