"To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." Eph 1vs6

To my brothers and sisters in Christ one of the most difficult things to deal with in life is rejection. It is a horrible feeling and we all have experienced at it one time or another in this life. It comes in many forms; racism, prejudice, discrimination, etc. It is rooted in envy and hatred. See Gal 5 vs 20-21.

Because we are sinners, we know that we are not worthy of unconditional love from anyone, let alone GOD, our sins testify, if to no one else, ourselves. And as a pastor I have observed many who would reject themselves if they could. Oh, but how we long to be accepted. "The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends." Prov 14vs20.

This can and does cause great depression in the children of God and greatly inhibits their service and worship of GOD. And to say the least their testimony to the world. I heard a survey recently, which said the reason why so many people stop going to church is because there are to many problems with Christians. They have enough of their own. This witness is true!

Is your circumstance thus? Are you in this condition mentally? Are you a believer in Christ?

Then, child of GOD there are three things that you must remember. (1) This world will always reject you. You are set up to be hated by this world, they hated your Master, so arm yourself likewise. "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. " Luke 21vs16,17. This includes the religious world. Do not marvel at this. Christ was thus rejected. "He came unto his own, and his own received him not." John 1vs11.

(2) Draw your strength from this astounding, amazing, magnanimous truth, that GOD Almighty has accepted YOU in the beloved. This is the key to overcoming this world. Our acceptance in Christ is the bases for constant serenity and peace. GODS immutable acceptance of us is based upon His immutable grace and love towards us in Christ. This transcends human reason but it is so. Untold numbers of believers have accepted cruel mocking and death, while they lay upon the pillow of this marvelous fact, they are accepted in the beloved. "I will never leave you nor forsake you" Heb 13:5, "Lo I am with you always, even unto the end" Mt 28:20. These are the Words of our Master. This is our comfort!

(3) Immersing ourselves in this truth, we must follow our LORD'S example and command. "Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you." Jon 13vs13-15.  Serve Christ's kingdom, by serving his people, in the calling that he has given you. Speak the truth in Love, and Love the brethren in the TRUTH. John 13vs35. "Then shall they know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

This will be a shield and buckler from all forms of rejections. And you will be rich in the faith which is in Christ Jesus your LORD!
