 My Friend!

Math 22;11 "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen."

This man made it past the dim eye of the Christian church. He said, he believed the gospel. He was hailed as devout, faithful and elect. But he was not.

This man made it past the pastor. He was commended for his service in the church and giving to it's cause. Upon his death, like the rich man and Lazarus, He was called a brother and a pillar of the saints. But he was not.

This was the Pastor that defended the truth, opposed the heretics, and started many local assemblies. He was called an evangelist and prophet, mighty in word and spirit, the new Moses, or Paul or Peter. He was  thought a wall against the tide of apostasy, as a servant of GOD. But he was not.

This was the church and denomination that had a name that it was alive, but was dead while it lived. It was a loving church, but the love was to itself. It was faithful and zealous, but it's faithfulness was not to Christ, but it's own cause and fame.

The pathetic thing is, that this person or people, deceived themselves into thinking that they were indeed the elect of God, simply because they heard and knew the truth, and accompanied those who heard and knew the truth

This message of our LORD is designed to humble all the elect, and everyone who calls themselves elect. To shut the mouth and purge presumption, and wrought true humility and a sincere examination of oneself, to make ones calling and election sure.

Our LORD warns us, that many who profess today to be Christ's, and to know Christ, will in fact experience the greatest shame, exposure and rejection for fraud and pretense.

My Friend! Don't waste your time, determining who’s saved, or trying to convince others of your salvation. But do this rather.

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" 2cor 13;5.
